Hemraj Patil has a degree of master’s in social work (Community development) and 17 years’ experience working in the public health sector. For the last 14 years he has been working with SATHI, on Community-based Monitoring and planning of Health Services and Decentralized Health Planning. Currently he coordinates with rural and Tribal teams. in three districts, for public participation in health services, HWC-JAS strengthening and capacity building of field teams. He has vast experience in liasoning with state level administrations, departments and officials.

ಜನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ದೂರಸ್ಥ ಮತ್ತು ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯಗೊಳಿಸುವುದು ಆ ಭಾಗದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳು (ಹೆಲ್ತ್ ಅಂಡ್ ವೆಲ್ನೆಸ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ಸ್-ಎಚ್ ಡಬ್ಲ್ಯೂ ಸಿ) ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಸೇವೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಒಡೆತನವು ಗಣನೀಯವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಲು ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು, ಹಲವಾರು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸೂಚಕಗಳ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಗೆ ಎಡೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

महाराष्ट्र के चार दूर-दराज़ ब्लॉकों में जन आरोग्य समितियों को सक्रिय करने से वहाँ के लोगों में स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को लेकर भागीदारी और जिम्मेदारी काफी बढ़ गई है। इससे वहाँ के स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों की सेवाओं में भी सुधार हुआ है और कई महत्वपूर्ण स्वास्थ्य संकेतकों में भी बेहतर परिणाम देखने को मिले हैं।
