Meenal Sawant - The Health Worker

Dr. Meenal Sawant is a public health researcher with a background in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery and postdoctoral training in Public Health, specializing in Social and Behavioral Sciences. She has been engaged in public health research since 2010 and has worked with vulnerable and underserved communities in India and internationally. She is currently part of the Health Research Team at Azim Premji Foundation, where she manages the research grants programme. Her work focuses on supporting and generating public health research that responds to the health needs and priorities of vulnerable and underserved populations.
